Travel storytelling

Make route videos without opening After Effects.

Farwyn Route Animator is built for travelers, creators, and trip planners who want a clean animated map for a journey recap, itinerary reveal, or social post. Start with search, import a GPX or GeoJSON route, draw a custom path, then tune the story in the editor.

How it works

From route idea to moving map in three steps.

01

Add destinations and routes

Search for an origin and destination, add stops, import GPX or GeoJSON, or draw your own path.

02

Customize the map story

Adjust map style, route color, markers, destination cards, camera movement, timing, and canvas format.

03

Preview and export

Scrub the timeline, preview the animation, save the project file, and export MP4 in supported browsers.

FAQ

Questions before you open the editor.

What is a travel route animator?

A travel route animator turns a route between places into a moving map video for trip recaps, social posts, and travel storytelling.

Can I create animations for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and Shorts?

Yes. The editor includes vertical and horizontal canvas settings. Browser MP4 export depends on your browser's MediaRecorder support.

Which travel modes are supported?

The current generated-routing workflow supports car routes. You can also import GPX or GeoJSON routes, draw custom paths, and style the animation with vehicle visuals such as plane, train, bus, car, or dot markers.

Can I add photos and destination cards?

Yes. Destination popup cards support text, badges, dividers, image blocks, and layout styling so a stop can feel like part of a travel story.

Is my route uploaded to a server?

The editor runs in your browser. Search and generated car routes can send searched places or route coordinates to external geocoding and routing providers. Imported files, project save/load, and browser export are handled locally unless you choose a provider-powered action.

Which map data providers does Farwyn use?

The tool uses OpenFreeMap and OpenStreetMap-based map data for map display, with Nominatim and OSRM used for default search and generated car routing.

Is the route animator free?

The browser editor is currently free to open and use. Future premium features or creator packs may be added, but this page does not promise that every future capability will remain free.
